General information about the team / department and its role in the organization
The regional team of the Dnipropetrovsk / Kharkiv region is structurally part of the programs department of the Eastern region. It covers the settlements of Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
The team's area of responsibility includes the following sectors of activity: 1) food security; 2) hygiene and sanitation; 3) housing and living materials; 4) protection.
General information about the role of the employee
Under the general supervision of the Emergency Assistance Program Manager and under the operational subordination of the Leading Specialist of the Housing Rehabilitation Program, it implements the housing restoration program, the reconstruction of educational institutions and the support of places of compact residence.
Specific duties and responsibilities
External relations: Establishes and develops relations with local authorities, other organizations that carry out humanitarian activities and the territories of the region.

Specific duties and responsibilities
- Conduct household assessments (face-to-face).
- Draw up a defective act of repair work for the restoration of housing or social facilities.
- Evaluate the estimate from contractors.
- Monitor the progress of repair work and evaluate the quality of the work performed.
- Report on project activities.
- Organize the process of archiving project documents, scanning and uploading to the internal system.
- Be involved in other humanitarian aid activities carried out by the organization.
External relations: Establishes and develops relations with local authorities, other organizations that carry out humanitarian activities and the territories of the region.
Required experience and qualifications
- Higher education in the field of construction
- Experience in the construction industry from 3 years
- Experience in reading and compiling the scope of work
- Ability to work with construction documentation and estimates
- Ability to organize the process on the ground involving all relevant actors
- A clear understanding of humanitarian needs and conflict-related issues in the area
- Priority is given to candidates with experience in humanitarian and international NGOs, participation in projects in local organizations is welcome
- At least a basic understanding of humanitarian aid or program implementation in the context of emergencies
- Computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a team,
- Good communication and diplomatic skills
- Ability to present information effectively (both written and oral)
- Stress resistance and multitasking skills are a must
- Experience in working with the public,
- Competitive salary on the PIN salary scale of EUR 1,323 (before taxes) (+5% after probation)
