Support for Civil Society

Since 2014, the support of independent media has been and remains one of the priorities of the Human Rights Department of People in Need in Ukraine. In 2019, we supported the creation of a new independent media platform Graty, which covers the work of law enforcement, the judiciary and the penitentiary system, as well as various human rights violations by the state, local governments and other groups.

In the same year, PIN organized a pilot training in forensic journalism for representatives of the independent journalistic community from 6 regions of Ukraine. The priority of the program remains the support and development of judicial journalism in the regions of Ukraine to raise public awareness of the nuances of various relations with the state.
