About PIN Ukraine:
People in Need (PIN) has been active in Ukraine since early August 2014. Currently, PIN is one of the major humanitarian actors in Ukraine responding to the recent military escalation providing humanitarian aid to conflict-affected people across Ukraine. Since 2014, PIN has implemented emergency food and cash assistance, NFI, shelter, protection, livelihoods, and WASH interventions supporting 3 million vulnerable IDPs, returnees, and host communities in urban and rural areas. Since the escalation in February 2022, PIN has scaled up its response from working in 2 Oblasts to working in 23 of the 24 Oblasts in Ukraine, increasing its number of partners, staff, offices, and budgets.
General information about the role of the person:
Under the general supervision of the Senior Social Work Program Specialist, the incumbent implements the project to correct children's speech development. The contractor organizes work and closely cooperates with team members, as well as with local community representatives.

Description of general responsibilities:
- carries out activities aimed at developing and implementing individual programs for children with speech disorders; group and individual consultations in accordance with the project methodology;
- carries out questionnaires, diagnostics, testing and processing of the data obtained;
- follows the plan to the agreed locations in coordination with the mobile team, in accordance with the work plan and schedule;
- systematically analyzes feedback on the results of group and individual activities, makes appropriate changes to the activities;
- prepares reports and document flow in accordance with the established deadlines;
- helps ensure the integration of project activities with the overall sector program;
- ensures timely and effective implementation of tasks and activities;
- advises on family, individual, personal and professional problems;
- participates in the creation and dissemination of materials developed under the project
- Higher education with a degree in speech therapy and defectology
- At least 2 years of experience as a speech therapist
- Experience working in difficult and unpredictable conditions (preferred)
- Understanding of modern technologies of speech correction and restoration
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm and strong personal skills with attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and in collaboration with team members
- Experience in training facilitation
- Computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel) and typing skills in English
- Communication and diplomacy skills;
- Organizational and planning skills
