1) Asylum in the Czech Republic, how to get across the border
The Ministry of Interior has set up a website has set up a website with information for Ukrainian citizens coming to the Czech Republic.

ČSOB Bank offers Ukrainian citizens possibility of opening bank account with several benefits, including financial assistance of CZK 2,500 for a newly opened account. In addition, clients will receive a free payment card for the account within 3 days, and can open one foreign currency (EUR or USD) account with no fees for maintenance and cash deposits.
At the same time, using ČSOB ATMs for withdrawals with Ukrainian cards will be free of charge as well. For opening an account, a Ukrainian passport is sufficient but there is no need to present a residence permit or visa. The account can be opened at all ČSOB branches. People can also use a special hotline in Ukrainian language at 800 200 290 or get information at www.csob.cz/portal/ua.

5) Information for Czech citizens in Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has urged Czech citizens to leave Ukraine and strongly warns against travel to the country. The Czech Embassy in Kiev and the Consulate General in Lviv have been temporarily closed.
In case of an emergency situation, Czech citizens in Ukraine can contact the emergency line at the Ukrainian number +380673749701 or the Czech number +420 222 264 234.
In this context, the Czech MFA is once again appealing to Czech citizens who are in Ukraine or who have been living in the country for a long time to register in the DROZD system.
If you are already in the country and decide to stay despite the warnings, please take the utmost care during your stay, follow credible media and have an evacuation plan ready in case of emergency. The Czech MFA warns that in areas of military conflict it will have only very limited possibilities to provide assistance and protection to Czech citizens on the territory of Ukraine.
